Political instability is a significant issue in many third-world countries, and it can have disastrous consequences for national progress. It creates many hurdles in the progress of the country. Political instability can take many forms, including civil wars, military coups, corrupt governance, and ineffective leadership. When a country's political system is unstable, it can create an environment of uncertainty, making it difficult for the economy to grow and for the country to make progress.

One of the primary ways political instability can destroy national progress is through its impact on the economy. Uncertainty about the political future of a country can lead to a lack of investment, reduced trade, and lower economic growth. They are mentally disturbed and hesitate to invest further.  Businesses are less likely to invest in a country that is unstable politically, and this can lead to a lack of job opportunities, reduced revenue, and lower living standards. Furthermore, political instability can lead to a lack of foreign aid and assistance, which can further harm the economy.

Political instability can also harm national progress through its impact on social services. When a country is politically unstable, it can lead to a lack of investment in education, healthcare, and other social services. The rich become richer and the poor become poorer, and it can further widen the gap between the rich and the poor, leading to social unrest and political instability. In addition, political instability can lead to the displacement of people from their homes, causing further harm to vulnerable communities. Their sources of livelihood decrease, and life becomes more difficult to lead.

Another way political instability can destroy national progress is by creating a sense of apathy and cynicism among citizens. The corrupt mafia is in action and tries to feather its nest by hook or by crook. When people feel that their political leaders are corrupt or ineffective, they may become disillusioned with the political process altogether. This can lead to a lack of civic engagement, reduced voter turnout, and a lack of interest in public affairs. Apathy and cynicism can lead to a further deterioration of the political situation, creating a vicious cycle of political instability and social decline.

In conclusion, political instability can have devastating consequences for national progress, particularly in third-world countries, such as Pakistan, the impact on the economy, social services, and civic engagement can create an environment of uncertainty and undermine the potential for growth and development. Therefore, it is essential for political leaders and citizens to work together to create stable and effective political systems that can promote national progress and sustainable development.

If our political leaders in past had paid attention to education, present circumstances might have been different ones today. The unselfishness of political leaders can change this situation.  More and more people can get life means to lead a fruitful and comfortable life.
